
Marette Monson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of professional experience. She recently served a term as chair of the Utah Social Worker Licensing Board. Marette has been appointed to advisory positions in the administration of the last four governors of Utah. Her service includes being selected as Chair of the Governor’s Committee on Employment for People with Disabilities. Marette has been the project manager of the BOOST Program, which was recognized by the U.S. Department of Commerce as one of the most successful job training and placement programs for individuals with disabilities in the United States. She was instrumental in creating and passing legislation requiring portability of funding for individuals with disabilities in Utah, freeing individuals with disabilities from living in nursing homes for the rest of their lives. Marette was born with Cerebral Palsy and has an acquired spinal cord injury.
