For more than 17 years, she has been a driving force in transforming human services and technology through learning, creating, and implementing solutions in collaboration with children, families, communities, and institutions.
Her career spans direct practice through executive leadership, with expertise in child welfare, clinical services, training, policy development, advocacy, program and risk management, strategic planning, and organizational transformation. LaTasha currently serves as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Lutheran Child & Family Services of Illinois, one of the state’s largest child welfare and adoption agencies, where she also acts as Privacy Officer. She is a Council on Accreditation (COA) Reviewer, Co-Chair of the Child Welfare Advisory Committee for Innovation, Technology, and Stakeholder Engagement (CWAC-ITASC), Social Work Examining and Disciplinary Board Member of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), Vice Chair of the Illinois Child Welfare Licensure Board, and President of the Illinois Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. She also serves on multiple advisory boards and committees dedicated to system transformation, child and family well-being, workforce stability, equity in race and LGBTQIA+ care, social justice, and innovation. LaTasha shares that her ultimate aim is to electrify sustainable, collective power and capacity for evolving our tomorrows.
