Lindsey Gurley, MSW, LICSW

Lindsey Gurley is a LICSW in private practice, where she provides counseling services, adoption support services, continuing education workshops, and clinical supervision to Licensed Social Workers. Lindsey is a Social Work instructor and Simulation Consultant for the University of South Alabama’s BSW program.  She also serves as a professional development coach for Title IV-E stipend recipients working in public child welfare, and as a trainer for this innovative coaching program designed to support new social workers in the field. Sometimes Lindsey gets an idea and dives right in – often rallying others to accomplish a shared goal. In 2022, Lindsey led a project with other social work supervisors across the state to create and share more than 75 supervision lesson plans. In 2023, she spearheaded a grassroots initiative to offer licensure exam scholarships to MSWs, organizing donors and managing the application process. In her spare time, Lindsey enjoys hiking, traveling (but never to the same place twice), and porch-sitting with her husband and children.
