Terri Cardinal, IMSW, RSW

Terri Cardinal-Nayawatatic is a nehiyaw iskwew (Cree woman) from onihcikiskwapiwinihk (Saddle Lake Cree Nation), Treaty 6 territory. She is a mother of two, wife, sister, daughter, and friend, roles that ground her personal and professional life. Terri is an alumna of the Master of Indigenous Social Work program at University nuhelot’įne thaiyots’į nistameyimâkanak Blue Quills (UNBQ), where she now serves as Community Learning Coordinator for the IMSW program and as a course instructor with the Faculty of Social Work.

Her academic and professional journey includes a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina, a Social Work Diploma and IMSW from UNBQ, a Leadership Certificate from the Coady Institute, and a Level 3 certification in Early Childhood Development from the Government of Alberta.

Terri has a deep passion for working with children, families, and communities, and her work centers on Indigenous worldviews, cultural safety, and relational accountability in education and practice.
